Advertising Companies

We can help advertising companies with a number of solutions:

Firstly, suggesting a customer uses a Business Phone Number for advertising. They can either hide a mobile and make them look more local to an area and a more established business. They can also use the numbers to allow them to advertise in a different area from where they live. This is especially useful when a business is out of the area they would like to advertise in.

Numbers can be tracked and therefore you can see how adverts are working. We have heard both sides of the argument on this, either the advertiser thinks this is brilliant and can show their advertising works, or they are horrified that it will show it does not work. We think that if you are advertising, then you need to know if it does or does not work. If it works then you can prove this and charge more or if not there is more work required on the advert.

There are options of 0800 or 0330 numbers to allow the customer to appear larger, they can advertise to a national market.

As you can have many different area codes, they can be used to measure the response from different areas and adverts.

Event organisers can have a Business Phone number for a few months and divert this to their home or mobile when the event is over, this number can then be ended. There are timed options available to divert during certain times of day, say after 6 pm until 10 pm, then to an answerphone.

Business Movers

Many businesses start at home or in one location and need to move to another town, but find the landline number they have cannot be moved to the new house or office. With our “Keep your Number” service, we can “Port” the number to our suppliers’ exchange and the number can then be forwarded to a number of your choice.

The process is quite painless, as long as the current supplier is willing to release the number.

Firstly we request a form is signed to allow us to “Port” the number and from then on you just wait for the number to be forwarded. We ask for the date you require the change to be made and the rest is automatic. The line the number is currently held on is cancelled as of the port date and any services such as broadband etc are cancelled. We do recommend discussing the movement of the number with your current supplier as you may be in a contract that may incur costs.

We charge £30 for the initial Port and then only £8 per month in advance for each number. There will be call forwarding charges of 2.5p to a landline or 5.5p to a mobile, per minute, with a 3p connection charge.

Franchisers

Business Phone Numbers can help both the Franchiser and the Franchisee.

As a Franchiser, you can either supply individual area or national numbers to your franchisees. The Business Phone Number can then be forwarded to the Franchisees home, business or mobile number. Statistics on the number of calls received and numbers of calls can show how the Franchise is working. 

As a Franchisee, you can use Business Phone number(s) for monitoring and manage how many calls are being received and where they are coming from. You do not have to use your home line and can have calls forwarded to your mobile.

An Example – Franchiser

Tom is a Franchiser and has 8 franchisees across the UK. He has supplied them with local numbers for their businesses and each month supplies statistics on the number of calls received and missed, how long they were on the phone and the location of the caller. He can see which of the Franchisee’s advertising is working and which needs more. Tom is looking to upgrade to a Hosted Phone System to allow his secretary to take calls when the Franchisee is busy and also allow greater control of his numbers.

An Example – Franchisee

Steve has a franchise for the Southwest and was looking to advertise in a number of areas and magazines. He took 10 numbers which allowed him to monitor how particular adverts and magazines were working for him and has found that even one call from an area can be fruitful, as the cost of the number and calls is minimal compared to the extra work he is receiving.
